Frugal Winter Sore Throat Tea Recipe

I’m not going to brag about finding a cure for the common cold or a way to prevent it altogether, because if I were in possession of such knowledge, I would be proudly accepting the Nobel Prize instead of blogging about it. What I can offer is a way of mitigating its effects and fighting the cold with an all-natural remedy that will help you overcome the affliction without any side effects.

Why would anyone stuff himself with pills when lemon and raw honey are abundant, inexpensive and what’s most important 100% natural? You probably have plenty of lemons eating your food storage to prepare the magical mixture right away and if you don’t, a quick visit to a local food store will get you all setup.

In fact, you don’t have to feel like reinventing the wheel, because both lemon and honey have been used for centuries to cure or alleviate the symptoms of various diseases.

Here’s what you need:

  • Lemon slices
  • Ginger slices
  • Raw Organic Honey

There’s no precise amount of the ingredients as it really depends on how many jars you are planning to create or how many lemon or ginger you have to add. You can be creative and experiment

In a jar combine lemon slices, organic honey, and sliced ginger. Close jar and put it in the fridge, it will form into a “jelly”. To serve – spoon jelly into mug and pour boiling water over it. Store in fridge 2-3 months.
