Homemade Natural Deodorant that Works | Fight Body Odor Naturally

homemade-deodorant-1

Applying deodorant/antiperspirant is an ingrained, reflexive part of our morning routine to neutralize pongs from armpits hence, to avoid experiencing social rejection from peers. However, a lot of people don’t know that these products contain aluminum which is potentially harmful and have been linked to Alzheimer’s disease and may impact breast cancer risks.

Unwittingly, we are drenching our pits with nasty chemicals, and they are adjacent to our lymph nodes. As a matter of fact, when most women are clinically determined to have breast cancer, their medical practitioners advise them to cease using those aluminum-based antiperspirants/deodorants.

I admit reading lots of DIY natural deodorant for quite some time, and this recipe piqued my attention because there’s no heating involved, so I decided to test the water and allow me to say this:

This homemade deodorant recipe WORKS!! After the switch, not a single reeks after an intense workout or a long day at work… I swear. Though it didn’t stop me from sweating, no stench of sweat and the best part, I can pronounce each ingredient, isn’t it remarkable?

You’ll Need:

  • 3 tbsp Coconut oil (or you can add more tbsp to make it a bit creamy)
  • 2 tbsp baking soda (Baking soda is somewhat irritating so use less for sensitive skin and more for those that need a stronger odor fighter)
  • 2 tbsp arrowroot powder or (you can use cornstarch instead)
  • few drops of favorite essential oil like tea tree or lavender oil (but this is optional)
