You don’t have to spend hours of scrubbing or a fortune for special products when you use this combination that cuts through sweat stains and leaves the pits of your favorite clothing bright again. It’s straightforward and easy to use, but also doesn’t cost a fortune. You don’t have to buy any special items at the store either.

The combination is equal parts of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Mix the two together thoroughly and then apply on the pit stain liberally. You’ll need to spread it out with your fingers, working it into the fabric. All you have left to do is wash it.

While this particular mixture is perfect to whiten whites and remove the stains, but it can be used on colored items too. Hydrogen peroxide is a color-safe bleach, as long as you don’t overdo it and let the concentration sit on clothing far too long. It’s an oxygen bleach, which is color safe.

In fact, many of the color safe bleaches use hydrogen peroxide for their base. To be on the safe side, find a small area of the shirt or blouse that doesn’t show and test the fabric first.
