I can’t eat ice cream and haven’t been able to for a long, long time, but that doesn’t make me want it any less. Whether you have a problem with milk products or just want a healthy alternative that won’t pack on the pounds, this one is absolutely delicious. As soon as I saw the video, I wanted to try it. At that time, I was in the middle of a project and we were completely out of bananas, so it had to wait.
On the next visit to the grocery, I bought a big bunch of bananas. When I buy them for cooking, I sometimes get the ones that are slightly brown, but for this recipe, I chose ones with no brown on the skin. I’m not sure whether it would have tasted any better allowing them to get extra ripe, but it tasted delicious with ones that were bright yellow.
This was so fast and easy, but you really do need four for each person, since it’s so yummy that two just won’t satisfy and you have to wait to get the next batch cold enough. I can’t wait for summer when this will be super delicious on a hot day. Whip up a big batch and keep it in the freezer for when your sugar cravings kick in – your tastebuds will be totally fooled!
