How to Roll and Fold the Perfect Omelet

rolled-omelet-1

This was a really educational video. I first learned there are two kinds of omelets, one folded and one rolled. Then I learned how to do both. I loved the rolled omelet. I’ve never had one, but they look fantastic and would be a new treat for breakfast. My family loves their American style omelets, but I never quite seem to get them restaurant right. I can hardly wait until the next time I serve them to give this a try….and the next time will be this coming weekend if I have my way about it.

I think you’ll find that sometimes the simplest tasks are the ones that seem the hardest if you don’t have someone helping you learn how to do it. The folding of the omelet looked easy once I saw how she did it and that’s one reason I’m such a fan of the internet. We all share our knowledge of both the complex and the simple and learn together.

I have, however, had a few delicious omelettes, in which the eggs were light and fluffy and carefully rolled into a horn shape. They were all served at nice restaurants. They were professional omelettes. But how was this done? check the quick tips below.
