The Perfect Eyebrows Tutorial for Beginners

This is an eyebrow tutorial for beginners – Most people never learn how to fill in their eyebrows when they were first learning to apply makeup. That’s because, if most people are like me, they only learned about plucking the eyebrows to give them a polished clean look.

I had thicker brows in my youth, so it wasn’t necessary until I had a bit of a mishap plucking my brows and took off way too much of them. It sent me to the internet to find a way to correct the problem.

I actually found that filling the brows offered more than just a remedy for an accident, it helped me have more beautiful eyes by framing and accenting them. I wished I’d seen these tutorials when I was younger.

I actually ended up changing my whole look by following some of the advice.

Now I feel a bit cheated, but you don’t have to feel that way. This is perfect for women and girls of all ages, but if you’re younger, all the better.

You’ll have a head start on perfecting the skill and creating your own style.

Step by Step
for Beginners

Step #1

① The first thing to do is to use an eyebrow primer. This process helps to make your brows stays in place the whole day, so you won’t have issues with them fading.  Just dab a primer on the eyebrow area and rub or tap gently using your fingers to spread the application.

Brow primers help to absorb oil in the skin and hair, so that’s why your product will last longer. They act as a makeup magnet.” This is according to Jared Bailey, the global brow expert for Benefit.

Step #2

② Then, take your spoolie or eyebrow brush and brush your brows in the direction you want them to go in. Brush up then over and down.

Step #3

③ Grab a dark brown eye pencil and use it to outline your brow. Always start at the bottom and follow the shape of your natural brows and then draw a clean line under your brow up to the tail end the way you like it to go.

Step #4

④ Once you’re done outlining the bottom of your brows, go ahead and repeat the process on the top part. Making sure both ends meet each other.

Step #5

How to Fill In Eyebrows? Fill in the middle of your brow with your pencil using light strokes, making sure no gaps or open spaces left on your eyebrows.  Tip: Fill in the gaps using short, hair-like strokes with a pencil.

Step #6

⑥ Clean up the mistakes to give your brows that freshly arched look. Use a cream concealer to underline the bottom. Try a concealer that is a couple shades lighter than your skin tone to get a bit of a highlight under your brows.

But if you don’t feel the highlight, feel free to use a concealer that closely matches your skin tone. Just draw a precise line as you can so your brows will look flawless as possible.

Step #7

⑦ After that, use a small flat brush and blend the concealer out.  Just bring the concealer downward to create a smooth transition and help the concealer to blend in with the rest of the eyelid so  you’re not left with that unnatural, obvious concealer line underneath your brows.https://res.cloudinary.com/calleigh1224/video/upload/v1560020587/Eyebrow_Tutorial_blend_it_2_sgarih.mp4

Step #8

⑧ Take some of the left over concealer on your brush from earlier and gently sweep it into the very front of your eyebrow. This will create a gradient effect on your brows that will go from light to dark, just like eyebrows naturally grow.

Step #9

⑨ Lastly once the gaps are filled, take a spoolie and gently brush the hairs back into place so it flows nicely. You’ll get rid of any sparseness, but your brows will still look natural.

Wipe off the excess with your finger and you’re done. You can apply an eyebrow brow gel to secure your brows in place, or in case you don’t have one, you can DIY eyebrow gel at home.
