What causes facial pores to open up like mini craters? Oily skins have a greater tendency for dilated pores and their appearance can be made worse when oil gets trapped, oxidizes and turns dark, classified as a blackhead. Enlarged pores can’t be shrunk permanently, but there’s an array of products and treatments that can help the skin to appear clearer.
