I absolutely loved these awesome tricks. It showed all the things that are often too tough to open. I remember when I could actually rip bags open by biting on one side and ripping, but no longer. The new packaging is super tough, leaving you run for the scissors…if you have them.
I remember one chip bag that simply wouldn’t open. I wasn’t at home, but in the car riding with my daughter. Both of us were starved, so I told her get a bag of chips out of the groceries and we’d eat a few to curb our appetite until we got home.
After she struggled for a few minutes, apparently unable to open the bag, I pulled over to the side of the road and took the bag from her. Of course, I thought she simply wasn’t doing it right and figured I’d have it opened in no time. Absolutely not true. I yanked, twisted, bit and did everything I thought might work, but that new stretchy metal type of wrapping was impossible. In one last effort, I squeezed the air of the bag toward the top as hard as I could.
While it did blow open the bag and scatter a few chips about, it also crushed almost every chip in the bag, but it was now open. Before I got back on the road, I ate several handfuls. I deserved those chip crumbs and pieces that were easier to lick from your hand than hold with your fingers. This video had a great solution for those nasty snack bags and won’t leave you licking crumbs.
