One of the requirements for any of the beauty aids that I make and use is that they work, but a second requirement is that they smell good too.

This is one of my favorites. I love the smell of coconut and mixed with the faint scent of green tea, it’s a joy to put this on my skin and it works fabulously. That’s because both of these ingredients have some super beneficial properties. When you whip it, the texture is perfect and spreads easily across the face with no harmful tugging, melting into every pore of your skin and bringing all the benefits of the ingredients.

Green tea is a favorite, whether I’m drinking it or applying it on my skin. It has potent antioxidants called catechins that help to stop free radicals that can cause cellular damage by binding to them and preventing them from harming your skin.

It also has anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. In fact, one study shows that green tea protected the skin from cancer in mice, which also may be true for humans, according to the study. Green tea takes away puffiness, which is one reason many people apply the bags to their eyes.
