How many times have you made or ordered a pizza with the best intentions of only eating one piece only to find yourself three slices deep 10 minutes later. Yeah, that’s basically what happened when you’ll be making this Chicken Pot Pie Pizza.

These delicious pot pies have a fun twist — they are actually pizza flavored. So instead of your typical creamy chicken-and-vegetable mix, these pies are packed with pizza flavors galore. The creamy sauce, or you can add whatever you want like corn, peas, carrots and chunks of chicken. Then as if the flavors of the pot pie weren’t enough, you can go ahead and pile it all on pizza dough and topped it with cheese! Did you even know that gooey mozzarella and salty parmesan cheese make chicken pot pie 10 times more amazing?

You’ll need:

  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup pepperoni, quartered
  • 16 ounces pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons basil, chiffonaded
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • Basil for garnish
