I grew up in a home where penne and rigate weren’t part of our meal, so I pretty much picked up the techniques from watching cooking shows. Nobody shows you the perfect techniques for simple things like pasta, or grilled cheese sandwiches, for that matter.
After watching this video, I saw two things I was doing wrong when I made spaghetti or another pasta dish. Those two changes actually made a huge difference and my family, as usual, begged for more, eliminating any possibility of leftovers.
No more “red water” at the bottom of your plate of pasta, no more cold and sticky pasta with searingly hot sauce on top, and no more pasta drowning in a bowl of soupy sauce.
