I don’t know about you, but no matter how hard I try, I forget some of the prep steps when I’m cooking and end up having to wait. For instance, I’m constantly forgetting to soften butter to room temperature and then either wait, holding the entire stick in my hand and hoping it softens the butter fast enough or putting it in the microwave. I have yet to get the microwave temperature and time correct and either pop it in several times or end up with a puddle of liquid. Even when it is soft, it’s often partially liquid.
